OSCAR’s Charity Golf Day Sponsorship Opportunities
Gold Headline Sponsor – £1750
Alfie was 10-years-old and attended Crakehall Primary School. His family were told his brain tumour was terminal. OSCAR’s provided a range of support services to the school and Alfie’s family: staff meetings on how to support him and each other, guidance on how to help the school community, advice to Alfie’s family on how to navigate the difficult months ahead. OSCAR’s were also at school to look after children and staff the day after Alfie died and have been on-hand for whatever the school and family needed since.
The staff time and resources for support like this paid for by your sponsorship will change the lives for the better of the next two families and school communities that need OSCAR’s in this way.
Silver Sponsor – £950
Roux was born with a brain tumour and lives with a number of disabilities. OSCAR’s supported him with a summer of physiotherapy sessions to help him stand and walk independently for the first time. By taking this package of sponsorship, you are paying for two other children like Roux to get the same benefits. Your support changes their lives.
Breakfast Sponsor – £400
When Amelia, undergoing treatment for her brain tumour, and her 3 brothers received Booster Boxes full of gifts tailored to their favourite things, her mum said, “I haven’t seen her smile like this in a very long time. It is just what we all needed.” Your breakfast sponsorship means we can help put smiles on the faces of children affected by brain tumours and also their siblings, who can also be left feeling scared and confused and lonely.
19th Sponsor – £400
George couldn’t find what he needed on the NHS to improve the fact he couldn’t use his right hand. We sourced and paid for physio sessions. His mum recently said, when she sent us a video of him dressed as Bob The Builder using a toy drill with his right hand: “His hand is open. It seems like the smallest thing to anyone else, but it is massive to us.” Your gift of sponsoring the 19th hole will help change the life of the next George we support.
Putting Competition Sponsor – £250
5-year-old Hunter lost the power of speech after his brain tumour surgery. OSCAR’s have stepped in to get him speech therapist sessions which he is doing really well with. We could hear him chatting away in the background when Mum phoned to thank us! By sponsoring the putting competition you have helped with two of those sessions to help make the future easier for children like Hunter.
Tee Sponsorship – £50 per tee
15-year-old Tilly lives with her brain tumour and needed mental health support as well as physical support. We paid for 121 swimming lessons as she was nervous about being in a group. We found her local mental health sessions but due to her anxiety she couldn’t get there so we funded taxis to make sure she could. It cost the same for her to get to one session as it does to sponsor a tee today, meaning we can do the same for the next child like Tilly who needs us.
